When you smile

What do you think draws us to each other?
Is it just the knives in our backs?
The waters recede from the pain
When news comes from the one you love

You think it's insurmountable, but obstacles come straight at you
Now it's spring for everyone, as if autumn comes for us
But I don't care, the world means nothing to us
Take your cheek to your eyelash when you think

Life is like this, did you think the test would end?
Before each one ends, another begins, believe me
The question is still on my mind, when will we meet?
Everywhere blooms when you smile

You are the bread on my Ramadan table, the hope in my heart
My soul remains in colorless, yellowed leaves
I am troubled by this great chasm between us
You become my Rıdvan when my soul touches yours

But Sait keeps writing this poem
Truly, the reader reads, he knows himself
But patience, beautiful days will come, who knows
When sorrows turn to happiness.
