Eleven people, including seven police officers and four civilians, were killed and 36 others were injured in a bomb attack that occurred in the Beyazıt district of Istanbul in the morning hours as a police vehicle was passing by.

It's not glass that breaks, it's our people who break
It's not just yellowing leaves that fall
Young saplings, innocent people
Lives to be lived are being destroyed

They no longer want to seek excitement in the sunrise
They no longer want to be with their loved ones
They no longer want you to fear even your own shadow
They no longer want you to trust anyone

Can you call someone human if they kill?
Can you call a heart a heart?
Can you call a life lived a life?
What else can you call this?

Where are we going at full speed like this?
Without seeing the beauty around us
What is this hatred, everyone angry at each other?
Without picking the flowers of love

Let's be together, despite everyone else
Let's embrace the rose and the carnation together
Let's be friends with all people
So we can be human among humans

We're all in the same boat with all living things
We may be at the helm, but we are not the owners
Our ship is a trust, we are in the sea of the Lord
When we reach the shore, we will all disembark
