I thought. Therefore, I exist.

Poetry

There are some guests who come to mind but never leave. But this is not a poem written to a guest, but to someone you would think of as one of the family. It's best not to think too much about it.

I thought. Therefore, I exist.

I thought. Therefore, I exist.

You were on my mind last night, you never left
I tossed and turned all night, sleepless in my bed
I thought about the path from your voice to my heart
I wondered if you were thinking of me too

But I thought I couldn't keep you living in palaces
I thought I'd burn palaces for your name
But then I thought it would be too cold in Silivri
I thought I'd burn the world for you

I always thought about loving you, not just meeting you
I immediately wondered why these feelings arose in me
I thought about peace, excitement, adventure, conversations
Don't ask, it's hope! Maybe I thought about you too

The color of your voice in my ears, the sincerity of your heart
I drew pictures, applied white primer to my black canvas
I placed colorful butterflies in your hair
I thought Rihanna was nothing compared to you

It's almost morning, the sun will rise soon
Maybe it's a lapse of reason, I don't understand music or jazz
Love is finding oneself in another person
The real question is, why did I think about all this?
